Diesel Exhaust Fluid Run Clean. Run Hard.

We’re an industry leader in Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF), thanks to rigorous quality control and distribution that ensure top-notch treatment and traceability. With 5,800 DEF lanes—averaging 9 per location—and over 300,000 gallons serviced annually, we help reduce maintenance costs and emissions all across North America.

Cleaner Emissions, Better Performance

Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) is a non-hazardous, non-toxic solution used in Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems to help reduce harmful emissions from diesel engines. Made of 32.5% urea and 67.5% deionized water, it converts nitrogen oxides into harmless nitrogen and water vapor—supporting cleaner emissions and better engine performance.

Pilot offers DEF at all of its locations nationwide, with dedicated onboard vehicle tanks that make refills easy and accessible whenever needed.

Quality Control: From Our Tank to Your Truck

Reliable DEF is essential for many trucks. That’s why we carefully monitor every step, from our tanks to your delivery, to make sure you always get the highest quality product.

Monitoring

Closed-system DEF tanks equipped with advanced monitoring systems deliver real-time data, ensuring we consistently use only the highest-quality DEF.

Testing

We conduct weekly tests on the DEF to verify its purity and concentration before delivery, ensuring it meets all industry standards for performance and safety.

Inspection

Our Regional Maintenance Technicians conduct monthly inspections to ensure the integrity and optimal performance of all components within closed system tanks.

Analysis

Quarterly full-spec lab analyses are conducted at all Pilot locations to ensure that only the highest-quality DEF reaches our customers’ trucks.
